I am an Army wife and mother of 2 children (5yo boy and 2yo girl). I started this blog to give my husband (and family and friends) a way to easily keep up with our lives while he is deployed to Iraq. We love him and miss him and eagerly wait for his return!

I stumbled upon your husband’s blog and subsequently your blog while doing a google search, and I am so touched. I have been reading some of the older posts and it has given me such inspiration. My husband left on Saturday for his first deployment. He has been in the Army for almost 9 years, and this is his first deployment. Your husband’s blog post about the way you feel seeing everyone else go and not you really hit home for me. My husband felt the same way. My husband also earned his citizenship 5 years ago because of his Army service, so your husband’s blog yesterday also hit home.
So, even though you don’t know me, I would like to continue to read and maybe comment every now and then. Your love for your husband and family and especially God is an inspiration to me. My strong faith is what will get me through this year without my husband, just as it is getting you through.
