To Nana’s and Papa’s House We Go!

This past weekend was spent at Joe’s parent’s house.  We had a great time.  The kids were the center of the universe and they loved it.  The pictures above are of Grace after lunch, Stephen and Grace waiting to go to dinner, Grace in the inevitable bubble bath.

It was a weekend to mostly stay in, besides going to church on Sunday, and we played and played.  Uno, babies, cooking, lego’s, videos, puzzles, and most regal of all, the TEA PARTY.  See the pictures below of our most refined time.

We snacked on cookies, crackers, and tea (apple juice).  It was a most formal occasion with proper dress required.  Stephen wore a splendid American tie and Grace looked most elegant in her (tablecloth) of fine gold.  She was, of course, accessorized with the finest of jewelry.  Nana, did it up, ya’ll!  I regret to inform their father, that Stephen quite enjoyed himself.  Although, this could have been due to the cookies alone, and not the dignified manner in which we partook!  Anyway, very cute and fun time….

Lord, Thank You for Grandparents!  I pray for many memories to be built over this time here while Joe is away.  A beautiful picture of Your love for us, is the joy seen in a Grandparent’s face for their grandchildren!

  1. Great post, honey! But I have to agree, what’s with Stephen and the pointed pinkies? :) My British friends would get a kick out of this. Grace looks adorable in the tablecloth – what a doll. Stephen looks like a politician and Grace looks like she’s on the way to a toga party :) Glad they had so much fun together and that everyone went to such a big effort to have such a big event! Love ya!

  2. I am loving the proper tea-drinking finger positions! What a hoot! Looks like you had a grand time . . . I’m glad you are getting to spend so much time with other grown-ups. It’s so much more fun to share the laughs with another adult.
    Love,
    Nancy
